Welcome to Founders' Day 2013

78th Anniversary of Alcoholics Anonymous

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Registration will begin Friday, March 1st at 9:00 a.m.

Early registration for Package Plans ends May 15th. Mail-ins must be postmarked by May 15, 2013 to be accepted.

Early Basic Registration will close at 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2013. Basic registration mail-ins postmarked by June 1, 2013 will be accepted.

Missed the deadlines? Don't worry! On-site registration opens at 8:00 a.m. Friday and Saturday, June 7th & 8th in the Student Union.

Please note the following restrictions for the registration process. (ALL Restrictions are University of Akron requirements for security, safety and liability).

  • 1 to 50 Registrations may now be purchased online with a single transaction. (Multiple transactions are still welcome!)
  • Basic Registrations: First & last names are no longer required.
  • Full name, address and phone numberARE REQUIRED by the University for each person staying on campus, i.e.Package Plans.

 

2013 PRICING INFORMATION

Basic Registration - $20.00 provides entrance to the conference and all meetings.

Package Plan A - $180.00 includes:

  • Basic Registration (ribbon & name badge)
  • Accomodations (Friday & Saturday night)
  • Saturday breakfast, lunch, and dinner
  • Sunday breakfast
  • Bus tour of the historic sites

Package Plan B - $130.00 includes:

  • Basic Registration (ribbon & name badge)
  • Accomodations (Friday & Saturday night)
  • Bus tour of the historic sites

Meals are available á la carte and priced the same as last year.
They are served in the Student Union as follows:

  • Saturday Breakfast - $12 | 8 - 9 a.m.
  • Saturday Lunch - $17 | 12 - 1 p.m.
  • Saturday Dinner - $23 | 4:30 - 6 p.m.
  • Sunday Breakfast - $12 | 8:30 - 10 a.m.

Site tags for both Tents and RVs are priced as follows:

  • Site Tag (Tent) - $40.00
  • Site Tag (RV) - $40.00

 

GENERAL INFORMATION

Name badges and ribbons must be worn for admittance to all meetings - No exceptions!

 

Credit cards (Visa, MasterCard & Discover) will be accepted at onsite registration and in the literature room. (Cash is still welcome!)

Please keep in mind that Founders' Day coordinators are all volunteers. We appreciate your patience. Someone will return your call or email as soon as they are able.

 

Big Meeting Venue

Once again we will all be together again for the “Big Meeting” Saturday night. RAIN or SHINE, we will be in Akron University's InfoCision Stadium (umbrellas permitted, capacity 30,000) located right on campus. This is an open stadium so prepare accordingly. Special Events

The 12 Traditions: "Why It Works" will be presented by Gail L. - The Villages, FL & Harmon V. - Akron, OH on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. in E.J. Thomas Hall. (Seating is limited to 2,900.)

The History of Our Big Book: will be presented on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. by Gail L. - The Villages, FL in E.J. Thomas Hall. (Seating is limited to 2,900.)

Sunday Memorial Graveside Service: The Sunday Morning Motorcade to Dr. Bob's Gravesite is a conference event and as such you must be registered to participate.

 

We're all looking forward to having our friends back with us this year to celebrate the gift of Alcoholics Anonymous. We are working hard to insure that this is the best, most secure, and unified Founders' Day ever.
